THE refurbished Toorak/South Yarra Library is close to reopening.
Boasting new air conditioning, lighting and public toilet facilities as well as an expanded Children’s Area and new self-loan staions – the new library will reopen on October 18.
The official reopening celebrations will be held from 2pm on October 28.
The celebration will kick off with an official welcome by City of Stonnington Mayor. Steve Stefanopoulos.
The day will also feature special Babytime Rhymes and Preschool Storytime sessions, demonstrations of the library’s digital services, activities for children and light refreshments.
Until it reopens, scheduled school holiday programs have been relocated to Toorak/South Yarra Children’s Pop-Up Library, Shop 8 in the Como Centre, 299 Toorak Road, South Yarra.
