When Linda Belli became a mum, she desperately needed a break – but didn’t necessarily want to send her to child care.
She hoped and wished for a place that she could send her daughter for a few hours where she would be engaged, comfortable and happy while giving her that much needed break.
So when her daughter reached primary school, she took the plunge and created her very own dream ‘pre-school’.
“I had no teaching experience, had never worked in the education sector, so I approached it from a parent’s perspective,” Linda, more affectionately known as Belli, said.
“It had to be somewhere where I would have wanted my daughter to go. Somewhere really homey, bright, clean, beautiful, modern, but not coldly so, and rather than having a bunch of rooms, I thought it would be fantastic to have an art room and a library and a music room.”
That was nine years ago
And since then Belli and her team at Bubbles Pre-School have created a beautiful space with a really lovely vibe.
“We really pride ourselves on teaching children the importance of being kind and thoughtful,” Belli said.
“It’s a big focus for our teachers, as they know that the first five years of a child’s life is when they form the foundational core of who they are.”
The relationships between the children and teachers are really special, but it’s also the relationships with parents that makes Bubbles Pre-school such a lovely place to be.
But watch this space, next year Bubbles will be introducing a suite of mini-classes which will include 40 minute cardio class where mums and dads can come along with their 3-4 year old and exercise together to music.
Other mini classes include a two-hour class called ‘I Make Stuff’ for kinder aged children where they can make/construct/build their little hearts out.
There’s also an hour-long ‘Granddies’ class specially designed for grandparents to enjoy with a grandchild. There will be eight different classes on offer – so there will be something for everyone.
