Looking for gorgeous and funky gifts for kids this Christmas?
Starting out as the little business that could – from humble beginnings on eBay to a 400 square metre showroom in the heart of Deepdene – Hip Kids has something for everyone.
Owners Sue and David Bennardo started the business 10 years ago when Sue was pregnant.
Soon enough David quit his corporate job to focus on Hip Kids and the business has gone from strength to strength.
“We were searching for fun and unique wooden toys that were not only beautifully designed and functional, but would last the test of time,” Sue said.
“We spent countless hours researching and eventually began designing and creating our own range of stylish and inspirational toys and furniture and so Hip Kids was born.”
From the moment you walk inside the showroom you are greeted by numerous beautifully made pieces of furniture and toys.
From balance bikes to wooden crafted doll prams, it’s clear David and Sue know what they are talking about.
“We design our products under the Hip Kids brand and dispatch Australia wide,” Sue said.
“Our most popular products without doubt are kid’s beds, tables and chairs and toy boxes.”
But as the weather warms up pedal bikes, two-in-one trikes and houses gain popularity and they are great Christmas presents.
And let’s not forget their beautifully crafted cubby houses – perfect for the little prince or princess in your life.
Whichever age group your child falls into, HipKids has the ideal present to make their eyes sparkle.
